The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) has launched three new initiatives to promote evidence-based Ayurveda research, improve scientific writing, and expand digital access to research resources across the country.

• The initiatives were unveiled during the 5th Executive Committee Meeting held in New Delhi.

• It serves as the apex body for research and development in Ayurveda.
• One initiative includes the release of a Research Methodology Textbook under the Ayurved Prabodhini Granthamala series.
• The textbook has been prepared by 50 Ayurveda researchers and faculty members.
• It aligns with the Outcome-Based Dynamic Curriculum (OBDC) prescribed for postgraduate and doctoral Ayurveda education.
• The curriculum is regulated by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
• CCRAS also launched the Expression of Interest (EOI) for CCRAS PRAYATNA 2026–27.
• PRAYATNA is a flagship programme designed for postgraduate and PhD scholars in Ayurveda.
• The third initiative is the CCRAS Digital Ecosystem Dashboard.
• The dashboard provides digital access to research resources and institutional databases.
• It aims to improve research collaboration, documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Scientific writing in Ayurveda includes research papers, dissertations, monographs and evidence-based publications.
• These initiatives aim to strengthen research quality, academic excellence and evidence-based healthcare in Ayurveda.
