India, Australia and Canada have launched the Australia–Canada–India Technology and Innovation Partnership (ACITI) to strengthen cooperation in artificial intelligence, clean energy, critical minerals, and resilient supply chains.

• India will contribute its digital infrastructure and large-scale innovation ecosystem, while Australia brings critical mineral resources and commercialization expertise, and Canada offers strengths in artificial intelligence and clean technology.
• The three countries aim to build secure and diversified supply chains for critical minerals, which are essential for batteries, renewable energy systems, electronics, and advanced defence technologies.
• ACITI will promote joint research, industrial collaboration, technology development, and innovation projects to strengthen sustainable economic growth and technological competitiveness.
• The partnership also supports cooperation in net-zero emission technologies, reinforcing the three countries’ commitment to clean energy transition and climate resilience.
• Alongside ACITI, India and Australia finalized administrative arrangements under their 2015 Nuclear Cooperation Agreement, enabling long-term uranium exports from Australia for India’s peaceful nuclear energy programme.
