A Trust Fund Agreement was signed between DPIIT and UNIDO, formalising India’s financial and operational participation in the BCIC framework.

The National Productivity Council has been designated as India’s BCIC Centre to lead capacity building, productivity enhancement, and adoption of advanced manufacturing practices.

BCIC will support MSMEs through training, technology access, cross-border knowledge sharing, and improved integration into global and BRICS value chains.

The initiative aligns with Make in India and PLI schemes, aiming to boost global competitiveness, skilled employment, and India’s position as a manufacturing hub
