• Union Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will launch Bharat Taxi in New Delhi, marking India’s first cooperative-based ride-hailing platform under the Ministry of Cooperation.
• Bharat Taxi places drivers, called Sarathis, at the centre of ownership, operations, and value creation, freeing them from exploitative aggregator-driven business models.
• The platform will follow a zero-commission and surge-free pricing system, ensuring transparent fares with direct profit distribution to registered drivers.
