President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, marking a major step toward structured financial empowerment of girls.
The scheme is an expanded and restructured version of the earlier Ladli Scheme with enhanced deposits and improved long-term financial benefits.
Under the previous structure, ₹11,000 was deposited for institutional births, while ₹10,000 was provided for home births of eligible beneficiaries.
Additional financial assistance of ₹5,000 was credited at key educational milestones from Class 1 admission to Class 12 enrollment.
The revised structure significantly increases total financial benefits to ensure stronger economic security from birth until higher education stages.
Families earning up to ₹1.20 lakh annually and residing in Delhi for at least three continuous years are eligible.
The girl child must be born in Delhi and meet required documentation norms under the updated implementation guidelines.
The initiative aims to promote education, dignity, financial inclusion, and long-term self-reliance among daughters across eligible families.
