•  The Sanand facility will manufacture advanced D-RAM and NAND memory solutions used in artificial intelligence systems, data centres, smartphones and high-performance computing devices.
• The initiative supports India Semiconductor Mission 2.0, which aims to create a complete semiconductor ecosystem with multiple chip manufacturing and design facilities across India.
•  The project also highlights growing India–United States technology collaboration, including cooperation on secure semiconductor supply chains and emerging artificial intelligence technologies.
•  Gujarat is emerging as a semiconductor hub, with Sanand and Dholera developing advanced infrastructure, skill development programs and industrial support systems for electronics manufacturing.
