Modi referred to the performances at the festival, especially Nazr-e-Krishna, as capturing India’s shared heritage.
He spoke about the Sufi poet Amir Khusrau’s reverence for India’s culture and Sanskrit as the world’s finest language.
The festival, founded in 2001 by Muzaffar Ali, is held annually and celebrates the legacy of Amir Khusrau.
Jahan-e-Khusrau brings global artists together to celebrate the spiritual and cultural connection of Sufi music.
