In a major boost to global education access in India, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis announced the country’s first Edu City in Navi Mumbai. At the WAVES Summit 2025, CIDCO signed Rs 3,000 crore worth MoUs with the University of York (UK) and Western Australia University to set up offshore campuses. The Edu City aligns with India’s NEP 2020, aiming to reduce foreign education outflow and boost local innovation and employment.
