India will host the 5th BIMSTEC National Security Advisers’ Meeting in New Delhi on 16 July 2026. The meeting will focus on strengthening regional cooperation in cyber security, counter-terrorism, transnational crime, trafficking and strategic coordination among BIMSTEC member countries.

• India also hosted the BIMSTEC Youth Leadership Exchange Programme in April 2026, involving over 70 young leaders.
