India will be the first country outside Japan to operate the E10 Shinkansen bullet train. Trials using the older E5 model will begin in 2026 on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) corridor. The E10, capable of 400 kmph, is set to launch commercially in the early 2030s. The bullet train initiative marks a major leap in India’s high-speed rail infrastructure.
