India and Romania have strengthened their long-standing strategic partnership by signing three key agreements in Science and Technology, Education, and Sports, while setting an ambitious target to double bilateral trade within the next three years and expand cooperation across emerging sectors.

• During her State Visit, President Murmu is scheduled to hold talks with Romanian Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, address the India-Romania Business Forum, and engage with business leaders to strengthen commercial partnerships.
• The President will also meet senior leaders of the Romanian Parliament, pay tribute at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and reaffirm India’s commitment to stronger political and diplomatic engagement with Romania.
• The visit includes interactions at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and the National Village Museum, highlighting India’s focus on expanding educational, cultural, innovation, and people-to-people cooperation with Romania.
