The Election Commission of India issued nine measures on internal governance, ECINet oversight and voter enrolment days after reports that two Election Commissioners had recorded objections over electoral roll decisions.

- The Commission announced the decisions on Saturday, September 26, after a full meeting of the Chief Election Commissioner and both Election Commissioners.
- The move followed an Indian Express report of September 23 that Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi had recorded at least 14 objections in ten months.
- The objections reportedly concerned electoral rolls, information technology systems and decision-making, including the Special Intensive Revision of rolls.
- Agendas will be circulated before every Commission meeting and minutes issued afterwards, addressing concerns about collective decision-making.
- Foreign travel by senior officials will need Commission approval, and new IT modules will first be examined by a committee of officers.
- A committee headed by a Senior Deputy Election Commissioner, with an independent expert from an IIT or IIIT, will review ECINet's compliance with the law.
- Field officers will get additional system access where needed, and directions issued by Election Commissioners to officers must be complied with.
- In Goa, 81 of 97 voters reportedly left out of the roll have submitted Form 6, and the state's Chief Electoral Officer was told to facilitate their inclusion.
- The Commission said the Form 6 prescribed under the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, will be used outside the Special Intensive Revision period.
- Opposition parties have continued to criticise the Commission, and reports note that disputes over the online Form 6 on ECINet remain unresolved.
