The All India Muslim League was founded on 30 December 1906 in Dhaka at the Muhammadan Educational Conference. It emerged from Muslim concerns over Congress dominance, the Urdu-Hindi controversy, and lack of representation. The League later played a decisive role in the demand for Pakistan in 1940 and in India’s partition in 1947.
