India’s first indigenously built green hydrogen plant was inaugurated at Kandla Port, Gujarat, by Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Set up by the Deendayal Port Authority in just four months, the 1MW facility marks a major push toward clean energy, port decarbonization, and India’s Make in India initiative. The plant will support green mobility at the port and aims to expand into a 10MW facility by next fiscal.
