SpaceX successfully launched the Mission Robotic Vehicle (MRV) and three Mission Extension Pods (MEPs) aboard a Falcon 9 rocket. Developed by Northrop Grumman’s SpaceLogistics, the mission aims to repair, upgrade, relocate, and extend the operational life of satellites in Geostationary Orbit (GEO) using advanced robotic technology.

- A single MEP can extend the operational life of a 2,000 kg satellite by up to 8 years.
- Optus has booked one MEP, while Intelsat will use the other two.
- The MRV can also inspect, repair, relocate, and upgrade satellites while in orbit.
- The spacecraft includes a Passive Refueling Module (PRM), enabling in-orbit refueling.
- The PRM is the first refueling interface standard approved by the U.S. Space Force.
