The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) 2.0 with an outlay of ₹1.28 lakh crore (US$ 13.25 billion) to strengthen India’s semiconductor design, manufacturing, research and talent ecosystem.
