• Freight services were launched from New Sanand, New Makarpura, New Umbergaon and New JNPT, alongside a new passenger service connecting Tanda Road and Vadodara.
• Railway expansion projects worth over ₹9,700 crore and highway projects costing around ₹1,780 crore were launched to improve connectivity across Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
• Gujarat government projects worth ₹2,600 crore were also launched, including a floating solar plant at Kadana Dam and housing units.
• The new passenger service will connect remote tribal areas of Alirajpur with the national railway network, improving mobility and regional integration.
• Modi said India is increasingly producing advanced railway equipment domestically, with over 50,000 modern coaches and 2.5 lakh wagons added.
• The government’s “Chip to Ship” vision aims to build an integrated domestic supply chain spanning high-technology electronics, manufacturing and maritime industries.
