The Maharashtra government has launched the Pink E-Rickshaw Initiative to support women’s economic independence and promote green mobility. After a successful pilot in Pune, the scheme is expanding across 8 districts. It offers financial aid, training, and infrastructure to help women—especially from vulnerable groups—own and operate electric rickshaws.
