The Khilji Dynasty ruled Delhi Sultanate from 1290 to 1320 AD after overthrowing the Slave Dynasty. Founded by Jalaluddin Firuz Khilji, it saw major expansion under Alauddin Khilji. Though short-lived, it shaped political, military, and economic structures, especially through southern conquests, administrative reforms, and market control. The dynasty ended in 1320 with the rise of the Tughlaqs.
