India has emerged as a global AI leader, ranking third worldwide in Stanford University’s Global AI Vibrancy Index 2024. The ranking, released in December 2025, reflects India’s rapid progress in AI research, talent, and policy support. India jumped from seventh position in 2023 to third in 2024.
