India and Australia marked five years of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) on June 4, 2025. The partnership, launched in 2020 during a virtual summit between PM Narendra Modi and then-Australian PM Scott Morrison, has seen deepening defence ties, rising trade, and stronger people-to-people connections. Australian Deputy PM Richard Marles’ visit to Delhi underscored the rising strategic importance each country places on the other in the Indo-Pacific region.
