From July 1, Delhi will start seizing old, polluting vehicles—called End-of-Life (EOL) vehicles—to curb air pollution. Vehicles older than 15 years (petrol) or 10 years (diesel) will be impounded if found at fuel stations or public places. Automated cameras at 500 fuel stations will help identify them. Owners face fines of up to ₹10,000, along with towing charges. The system will expand to five NCR districts in November.
