The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his residence in Dehradun.

Under the Swasth Seema Abhiyan, integrated healthcare services will be provided to 108 border villages across Pithoragarh, Chamoli and Uttarkashi districts.

The programme will be implemented in phases, prioritising the most remote and hard-to-reach villages in border regions.

ITBP will deploy trained doctors and paramedical staff and provide medical care through existing MI rooms and telemedicine facilities.

Regular medical visits will be conducted, health cards will be issued, and medical records of beneficiaries will be digitally maintained.

The Uttarakhand government will initially provide essential medical equipment and ensure uninterrupted medicine supply every six months.

Emergency medical evacuation and communication support will be provided by the state government in coordination with ITBP units.

The Chief Minister said improved healthcare will build trust, strengthen border security, and support long-term stability in frontier villages.

Officials noted that ITBP’s local procurement initiative has already resulted in purchases worth ₹11.94 crore, benefiting border-area farmers and producers.
