From May 7 to 9, 2025, India will conduct large-scale civil defence drills across all States and Union Territories. The Ministry of Home Affairs ordered the move after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. The drills aim to boost public readiness and passive defence in the face of rising tensions with Pakistan.
