Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday announced AIADMK’s return to the NDA alliance, ending a 20-month separation. The parties will jointly contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections to defeat the DMK. Shah confirmed Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) will lead the alliance in the state, while PM Modi leads it nationally.
