On April 10, the Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Narendra Modi, approved the Modernization of Command Area Development and Water Management (M-CADWM) sub-scheme under the PM Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY). With an outlay of ₹1,600 crore for FY 2025–2026, this scheme aims to improve irrigation efficiency and farm productivity through advanced infrastructure and tech integration.
