The Uttar Pradesh government has declared the Maha Kumbh area in Prayagraj a no-vehicle and no-VIP zone for Mauni Amavasya, the biggest bathing day, on January 29. Strict measures are being implemented to manage the crowd, ensure security, and prevent stampede-like situations as 8-10 crore pilgrims are expected to participate.
