The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall across several parts of India on Saturday, with widespread rain expected over northwest, central, eastern, northeastern, western and peninsular regions.

• IMD has advised fishermen against venturing into several sea areas due to adverse weather conditions.
• Meanwhile, torrential rain lashed Delhi-NCR on Friday, causing severe waterlogging and traffic disruptions.
• MB Road in South Delhi witnessed severe waterlogging, with water reportedly rising to nearly four feet near the Air Force Station.
• Several motorcycles and autorickshaws stalled after entering flooded stretches.
• Traffic remained slow on major routes including ITO, Patel Road, Rohtak Road, Wazirabad Road, Kirti Nagar, Shaheen Bagh, Delhi-Jaipur Highway and Badarpur Border.
• Flooded subways and submerged roads further disrupted movement across the Delhi-NCR region.
