    The National Productivity Council (NPC) has been designated as the Environment Audit Designated Agency (EADA) under the Environment Audit Rules, 2025, following an agreement with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Announced in April 2026, this move aims to strengthen environmental compliance, standardise audit practices, and improve transparency in India’s regulatory framework.
