Prime Minister Modi stressed youth engagement through parliamentary and university exchanges and welcomed academic ties involving Nalanda University, IIT Madras and Malaysian institutions.

Regional and global issues were discussed, including ASEAN–India partnership, Indo-Pacific developments and early completion of the ASEAN–India Trade in Goods Agreement (AITIGA) review.

Several agreements were exchanged covering digital payments, security, semiconductors, health, disaster management, corruption prevention, audiovisual co-production and UN peacekeeping cooperation.
